I am Dr. Swayam Prakash, I am Chief Consultant, SV Clinic and Research Center, and I am President of the Indus Association of Sexology.
I am going to talk on enhancing sexual satisfaction and pleasure through Ayurveda, Kama Sutra, and Ananga Ranga.
What do you want your audience to learn from your presentation?
So Ayurveda, is a branch of medicine, exclusively sexual medicine, Vajikarana, making men sexually active throughout the life. All the factors that are explained in this can be divided into three aspects: one is food recipes, psychological stimuli, and pharmacological prescriptions. And the best aphrodisiac mentioned in the Caraka Samhita, which is said to be written 2000 years ago, is the female partner. The active female partner is the aphrodisiac par excellence. Even in the Kama Sutra also, equal importance has been given to the female partner, and sex does not mean only intercourse. There are many things – kissing, hugging, touching, biting with nails, biting with teeth, and moaning – all these things, oral sex, female on top – all these aspects are considered to be love games, and these are all conducive to the sexual satisfaction and pleasure.
So I am talking about more Ayurvedic things, but there are a number of psychological things that are also important in Ayurveda, like massage, talking with your friends, and a cooperative partner, fear-free state, do not doubt your partner, and partners should be active. There are all these things, but the female has been given the most importance in sexual satisfaction in Ayurveda, Ananga Ranga, and Kama Sutra.
What is Kama Sutra?
Kama Sutra explained that Kama Sutra should be read by females, and Kama Sutra is not only a book that depicts sexual positions. It has mentioned many more things about foreplay and love play – eight varieties of kissing, eight varieties of hugging, nail bites, moaning. There is a separate chapter on oral sex, and mutual oral sex – 69 – has been explained, and fantasies explained. Female on top position has been explained in a separate chapter. The female has been given utmost importance, and one could dare to say that Vatsayayana could be a female also, because all the things that are required for sexual satisfaction and enhancing the pleasure that are required for the female are explained in Kama Sutra.
Closing Statements…
Everybody should read Kama Sutra, Ananga Ranga, and Vajikarana, because these will explain to people who are not having problems. So to have a healthy sexual life, to have healthy sexual satisfaction, one should follow the principles laid out in Ayurveda, Kama Sutra, and Ananga Ranga. These are not meant only for those that are having problems – anybody who is not having problems should also know and practice these things for a healthy sexual life.
