My name is Manish Kumar. I’m the General Secretary of the Indian Institute for Young Inspirers, and I’m also the Director of the Entertainment Education Resource Centre, Lucknow.
What is the subject matter of your presentation?
Today I presented the various methodologies we can use for sexual education, and I have spoken on magic tricks, board games, and puzzles. The thrust of my presentation is whenever you interact with adolescents on sexuality education, you have to be very comfortable, first for yourself, and make your presentation comfortable for others too. I can show you one of the magic tricks. The name of the magic trick is Water of India. First, we’ll just watch the trick. [Pours water from a silver bowl into a glass, turns the bowl all the way over until it appears to be empty.] Now the bowl is empty. I’m again going to take water from this empty bowl. Just see what happens. Pours from the bowl again, and again water pours out.] Again the water is coming. So we can use the same terminology and the same method for the semen formation or for the semen loss. Because what happens most of the time males is they think that if they ejaculate once or twice they are going empty. No – it’s a continuous
process in this water bowl, and the formation of semen is also a continuous process in our body.
Closing Statements…
This is just one message to the audience. When you interact with adolescents you have to be creative, and you have to respect the adolescents’ feelings, because there are certain ethics of communication. You can’t say anything and everything you want to adolescents. We have to respect the adolescents first, and then we provide the information according to their needs. Thank you.
