I am Professor Ganesan Adaikan, from Singapore. I am the Research Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the National University of Singapore, and also the Clinical Sexologist at the National University Hospital.
What is the subject matter of your presentation?
It was on the overview of the male and female sexual dysfunction. I was mainly covering all aspects of male and female sexual dysfunction, particularly with emphasis on our latest treatment in research in the area of erectile dysfunction, but not to forget the importance of the female sexual dysfunction, the area that has been neglected over the years. And this is coming up heavily in the last five years. It is extremely important to have both aspects, the male as well as the female, to get the understanding together for a holistic treatment in this area, because it’s very important. Secondly, apart from the pharmacotherapy success that we have today, it is also important for us to look at other aspects of treatment in terms of relationship issues between husband and wife, and all other environmental and socio-cultural factors, to give a global treatment for a great success for the partners.
Closing statements…
I would appreciate if the medical and other NGO professionals can provide maximum support in terms of awareness of knowledge in sexuality to the public as a whole in the world.
