Robert W. Birch, Ph.D.
Dr. Bob Birch received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1967 and has been a psychologist for over 30 years. After 10 years of experience in public mental health agencies, he went into private practice and began what is now a 20+ year specialty in marital and sex therapy. He characterizes his professional interests as centering around intimate and caring physical and emotional relationships. Dr. Birch has now retired from practice and spends his time gardening, skiing, fishing, and, oh yes, writing.

Before retirement, Dr. Birch was a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Psychology, a Fellow of the American Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Clinical Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists. He was a Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology and was certified as a Sex Therapist and as a Sex Educator by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. He was also certified as a Family Therapist by the National Academy of Family Therapists. He was an adjunct assistant professor at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Birch has presented well over 300 public lectures and workshops and has written scores of articles. He has been interviewed multiple times on television, has been a regular guest on a late night call-in radio program, and has been quoted extensively in books and articles. Dr. Birch has dedicated his clinical skills, his public speaking, and his writing to the enhancement of sensuality and sexuality, believing in the importance of a solid physical and emotional bond in the maintenance of long term relationships.

As a Certified Sexologist (American College of Sexologist) Dr. Birch remains active as host of three web sites, an online "sexpert," an author and a public speaker.
